THE DEPARTMENT of Science and Technology and National Bookstore Inc. provided school supplies and slippers to 201 students of the Santo Niño Integrated School in Catarman, Northern Mindanao.

The school supplies were delivered by Science and Technology director Joanne Katherine Banaag, in coordination with the provincial office of the Department of Education.

The barangay of Sto. Niño is one of the identified geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas in Catarman town.

Catarman is also a recipient of various scientific, technology and innovation programs of the DOST.

DOST Undersecretary Sancho Mabborang stressed the need to give young students additional school materials to fire up their passion to study.
