THE SCHOOLS Division Office (SDO) of General Santos City has assured the public that it is closely coordinating with law enforcement authorities and partner agencies following the circulation of online threats targeting schools and learners.

In an advisory, the SDO said it is aware of the threats and has taken appropriate measures to help ensure the safety and security of students, school personnel, and the wider school community.

The office urged parents, learners, and the public to remain calm, emphasizing that the apparent objective of those behind the online threats is to sow fear and create unnecessary alarm.

It also reminded the public to refrain from sharing unverified information on social media and instead report any suspicious posts or activities directly to the proper authorities for prompt verification and action.

The Schools Division Office reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining a safe and secure learning environment, assuring stakeholders that classes and other school activities will continue while security measures remain in place.
