CAVITE STATE U SUSPENDS EXAM AFTER ACCIDENT
THE CAVITE State University suspended its final examinations to sympathize with the family of five students who were involved in an accident on Monday.
Biology student Elaiza Gebrille Tesoro died while four others were injured when a driverless delivery truck hit them while they were studying.
The driver of the delivery truck is under police custody.
CvSU President Hernando Robles issued a memorandum suspending the final examinations until further notice.
The president issued the memo after Central Student Government President Jan Angela Catindig requested for the suspension of the finals.
Students of the university also held a candle-lighting ceremony on Monday night for the victims.
Meanwhile, CvSU said it is helping the families of the students.
“We would like to assure the public that the University is providing the victims and their families with necessary assistance,” it said in a statement.
