AROUND 650,000 doses of Pfizer vaccine against Covid19 for pediatric vaccination arrived in the country last Friday, April 1.

The government-procured jabs consisted of 240,000 doses for kids aged 5 to 11, and 430,560 doses for 12 years old and above.

Presidential Communications Operations Office Undersecretary and Acting Deputy Presidential Spokesperson Michel Kristian Ablan said 933,404 kids below 11 years old have been fully inoculated.

On the other hand, 8.9 million adolescents aged 12 to 17 have been fully immunized against Covid19 as of March 24.

On Wednesday night, the country also received 1,872,000 doses of Pfizer vaccines procured by the government through the World Bank. Additional 930,000 doses also arrived on Thursday night.

The government aims to vaccinate more than 39 million youngsters aged 17 and below.
