Additionally, 57 other PDLs completed their Senior High School education.
The graduation ceremony took place on Wednesday (09 Oct 2024) at the Education and Training Section of the New Bilibid Prison Medium Security Camp Covered Court in Muntinlupa City. These students are part of the University of Perpetual Help System Dalta – Bilibid Extension School program.
“Education represents a significant step toward rehabilitation for incarcerated individuals. The skills and knowledge acquired empower them, giving them a chance to break free from the cycle of crime and recidivism,” Catapang said.
“These graduates stand as symbols of hope and resilience for other PDLs, overcoming the challenges posed by their circumstances to achieve educational milestones. By fostering an environment of learning and growth, the PDL education program is transforming lives and promoting a safer society,” he added.
