THE AKSYON Demokratiko party supported the decision of its standard-bearer Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso to adopt President Rodrigo Duterte as senatorial candidate.

“We stand by the pronouncement of our Party President and standard-bearer,” Party chairman Ernest Esmael said in a statement.

“We believe that there are current administration policies and programs worth continuing while there are some that can be improved, discontinued, or rectified,” he stressed.

Esmael said that Aksyon Demokratiko is “not an opposition party,” stressing that the party has taken a centrist and objective stand on many issues.

On Monday, Domagoso said he will vote for Duterte in the 2022 elections.

He noted that Duterte is a qualified candidate for the Senate and that he is also willing to take him as the fourth senatorial candidate of Aksyon Demokratiko.

Last week, Domagoso commended Duterte for holding the three-day national vaccination drive.

The mayor pointed out that if the intensified vaccination drive continues, majority of Filipinos will have been inoculated by yearend.
