Nonoy still not over on UST controversial training bubble
After announcing his departure in the Tigers den, UAAP Season 82 Rookie of the year Mark Nonoy expressed his distraught in the Sorsogon training controversy.
“Dahil sa ganong issue lang nawala yung team namin,” Nonoy shared in 20T episode by Phenom Sportswear Inc.
During the UST fall-out, the 20-year-old Nonoy expressed his gratitude and appreciation to UST and Ayo.
Shortly after, he admitted that the situation troubled him and affirmed that his transfer to the green and white squad was all for his basketball career.
Coach Aldin Ayo was indefinitely banned from UAAP as a result of the training bubble and is pursuing reconsideration.
Although at first, Nonoy was waiting for UST to endorse the appeal and he said he did not have the sense of urgency to transfer despite the exodus of the other members.
And because of the ambiguity of the situation, he eventually decided to leave the Growling Tigers for good.
By then, he revealed that there was still no update on the appeal.
“So wala pa rin. Hindi pa rin namin alam kung anong mangyayari sa team kaya siguro it’s time na to maglipat na kami kasi hinahabol din namin yung enrollment namin para makapasok kami sa one-year residence po,” he further shared.
It took a long determination, Nonoy and Cuanjao jointly bolted UST for the Green Archers, leaving only four tigers behind.
“Sa amin nga last minute na kami nag desisyon kasi inaalam namin kung ano talaga yung mangyayari sa team namin, inaalam namin kung mababan or anong mangyayari,”
Despite the relocation to DLSU, Nonoy still wishes encouragement to the left members.
