THE XAVIER School in San Juan City appointed Fr. Joseph Y. Haw, SJ as its new president.

He will replace Fr. Aristotle Dy, SJ. His term will be until April 1, 2024.

Haw served as president of the Ateneo de Iloilo-Santa Maria Catholic School from 2012 to 2019.

He was a trustee for Jesuit schools, including Xavier School, from 2014 up to the present.

He is currently participating in the Jesuit tertianship program in Australia and will join the community in September as the Campus Minister of Xavier School Nuvali.

Haw graduated from De la Salle University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science.

He earned a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from the Ateneo de Manila Loyola School of Theology and a Doctor of Education degree major in Curriculum and Instruction from The Education University of Hong Kong.
