WORLD BANK LEADS LECTURE IN PNU
THE WORLD Bank Philippines conducted a lecture at the Philippine Normal University on the importance of educational spaces in the learning outcomes of students.
Peter Barrett, professor emeritus of the University of Salford in United Kingdom, talked about the basic nature of schools and its relation to teacher retention and lack of learning opportunities.
He also discussed what are considered healthy and safe schools, the best kind of learning environments and relationship between teachers and classrooms.
Meanwhile, Dr. Jansen Tiexeira, senior education specialist of World Bank, discussed the agency’s contributions to educational infrastructure in the Philippines.
He highlighted how education infrastructure affect student learning and impact on students’ learning outcomes.
The lecture was hosted by the College of Teacher Development. It was attended by academic officials, faculty members and practice teachers.
