THE UNIVERSITY of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines is implementing a one-day health break to give its staffers a needed breather.

The break will be held on May 12 as per a memorandum from the Office of the University President.

The university said the implementation of the break is in line with the successful conduct of the surveillance Audit for the ISO certification.

“This is to give all concerned the needed and deserved rest from the exhausting preparation for the said surveillance audit,” USTP said.

“This is also the USTP administration’s expression of appreciation for all the efforts and contribution imparted by all USTP personnel toward ISO certification,” it added.

USTP announced last April 29 that it has secured an ISO 9001:2015 certification  from the SOCOTEC Certification Philippines.
