UST TO CONTINUE ONLINE CLASSES
THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas will continue to hold online classes for the second semester of School Year 2020-2021.
“For the Second Term AY 2020-2021, the University of Santo Tomas will continue to implement the Enriched Virtual Mode of instruction, mainly delivered through UST Cloud Campus,” the university said.
Protocols on the resumption of limited in-person classes will be announced once the government releases the guidelines.
The Varsitarian, the school’s student publication, reported that Vice Rector for Academic Affairs Cheryl Peralta had admitted that the university had prepared a proposal for limited face-to-face classes.
“However, we have yet to present this to the policy-making bodies of the University,” Peralta said.
The Commission on Higher Education had said that only programs with lessons and activities that would be difficult to teach online will be allowed for face-to-face classes.
