/ 2 September 2021

THE UNIVERSITY of Santo Tomas suspended its college entrance exam for Academic Year 2022-2023 because of the rising cases of Covid19.

The university said that admission will be based on applicants’ academic records and performance.

“For the Academic Year 2022-2023, the University of Santo Tomas Entrance Test (USTET) will not be administered in consideration of the quarantine restrictions that are currently in effect in the country,” it said.

In some programs, a second screening measure was added, which could be in the form of an interview, essay, and online drawing exam.

“Applicants for senior high school and college can start their registrations at http://ustet.ust.edu.ph. The deadline for applications was set on December 15, 2021,” it said.

The Ateneo de Manila University also announced the suspension of its admission test for the next academic year.
