USJ-R PARTNERS WITH SPU SURIGAO
THE UNIVERSITY of San Jose-Recoletos partnered with St. Paul University Surigao on the exchange of best practices in the field of sustainable education.
A memorandum of understanding was recently signed by the officials of the two universities.
“USJ-R was one of only three schools visited by SPUS administrators and professors in April 2023. Impressed with the facilities and teacher education, they decided to forge an agreement with USJ-R,” the school said.
“USJ-R School of Education is recognized by the Commission on Higher Education as a Center of Excellence in Teacher Education since 1996,” it added.
Under the agreement, the two institutions will exchange faculty and students, share practices in areas such as pedagogical techniques, curriculum development, research and design thinking initiatives.
SPUS President Sister Marie Rosanne Mallillin thanked the USJ-R and expressed excitement for the output of the collaboration.
SED officer-in-charge Dean Ma. Aira Chenessa Aguilar, meanwhile, hoped to further strengthen the partnership with more visits, exchanges, linkages, and collaboration.
