ALL 34 examinees of the University of the Philippines Diliman passed the Mining Engineer Licensure Examination given in August and September, leaving the university with a 100 percent passing rate.

Several graduates of UP Diliman made it to the list of topnotchers. John Martin Rivera Cirio was the first placer gaining a percentage of 89.40.

The Mindanao State University-Iligan Institute of Technology placed second with 18 out of 20 takers passing the exam, equivalent to 90 percent.

Meanwhile, the University of Southeastern Philippines ranked third with 85.11 percent passing rate.

The Professional Regulation Commission said 253 out of the 389 passed the exam held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao and Legazpi.
