FROM its 208th ranking in 2018, the University of Antique jumped to 143rd in Unirank’s Philippine University rankings for 2021.

Unirank ranks colleges and universities based on prominence measured by internet searches and other significant web and social media indicators.

Unirank estimates popularity rankings of more than 13,000 official universities around the world.

UA climbed several notches in the list after it maintained a social media presence on Facebook, since 2019. Its Facebook account currently has over 46,000 followers and has regular postings on its website.

Digital journalism also contributed to UA’s leap after its official student publication The PRISM started uploading its content on social media.

Topping the charts are the leading universities in Manila — University of the Philippines, De La Salle University, Ateneo de Manila University and University of Santo Tomas.
