UE TO HOLD VIRTUAL GRADUATION IN MARCH

/ 20 January 2022

THE UNIVERSITY of the East will hold a virtual graduation in March for the class of 2021 and 2022.

UE reminded all graduating students to comply will all requirements before the graduation.

“Graduating mid-year tertiary and postgraduate students of School Year 2021-2022, please be reminded of the call to submit your materials for your virtual midyear commencement rites, which are set to unfold online in mid-March 2022,” it said.

“All students must have completed all academic, documentary, financial and virtual graduation requirements set by the Commission on Higher Education and the University,” it added.

The university also requested students to email a consent letter permitting UE to post their pictures during the ceremony, a voice recording of the correct pronunciation of their full name in MP3 format, and an in-toga studio photo.

“Non-compliance in submitting the email, photo and voice-recording requirements on or before the set deadline by the administration will also lead to non-inclusion in the virtual commencement rites,” it said.

Students must also settle any deficiencies such as grade withheld or lack of final requirement marks on or before January 31, 2022.

“For previous-school year completers, i.e., those who had completed the requirements for graduating in SY 2019-2020 or Summer 2021 but were unable to join the virtual commencement rites last August 2021 may join the upcoming virtual commencement rite,” the school added.
