TIP BRINGS SCHOOL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM TO BALIUAG UNIVERSITY
THE TECHNOLOGICAL Institute of the Philippines and its spinoff company SEBI Technologies Incorporated are set to begin the deployment of the university’s school management solution to Baliuag University.
The partnership was formalized last September through a memorandum of agreement signed by TIP Senior Vice President and concurrent SEBI Tech President and Chief Executive Officer Angelo Lahoz and Baliuag University President Patricia Lagunda.
“Because of this pandemic, schools more than ever need a solution that will help them efficiently run student-related processes, from onboarding to graduation,” Lahoz said.
“EmpowerED offers all these and more so that students can focus on their studies, while school administrators can focus on ensuring that they are able to deliver quality education despite the circumstances,” he added.
Meanwhile, Lagunda expressed her gratitude to the university citing that EmpowerED will be a great help for their students and teachers amid the implementation of remote learning this school year.
“This pandemic has highlighted the need to improve, digitize, and automate common processes in the university. We are glad that through EmpowerED, we are embarking on a crucial thrust towards a technology-enabled school environment and an improved end-to-end solution for our students,” she said.
“Through EmpowerED, we can complement our existing learning management system and unify our complex school processes,” she added.
EmpowerED is the TIP’s homegrown school management solution that has been in active use and continuous development for over 10 years in both of its Quezon City and Manila campuses.
It is developed by education executives, administrators, and information technology specialists of the university which boasts features tailored actual school management needs.
