RTU STUDENTS APPEAL FOR ACADEMIC BREAK
STUDENTS of the Rizal Technological University appealed to school officials to declare an academic break from April 11 to 13.
This would provide students a full week of break as April 14 to 17 can be declared as Holy Week break, Supreme Student Council President Jason Tolonghari said.
He said that this would suspend deadlines and give students some ease.
Tolonghari said that the move is in coordination with other councils through consultations on student demands.
“With the Holy Week holidays combined with an academic break, it is crucial to both students and faculty members to regain motivation, ease burden, reduce stress, as well as to preserve solemnity and celebrate traditions with families and relatives,” the group said in a petition.
The OVPAA said that only asynchronous classes shall be observed from April 11 to 12.
