PNU STUDENTS, FACULTY MEMBERS GET WELLNESS BREAK
THE PHILIPPINE Normal University has approved a system-wide Flexible Learning Wellness Break as requested by students.
The break will be from November 18 to 21, 2020.
“This break will allow students to catch up on their course requirements or simply take a break from asynchronous and synchronous activities,” the university said in a memorandum.
During the break, faculty members are prohibited from conducting synchronous and asynchronous classes.
The school said faculty members should use the time to catch up on giving feedback, assess or reflect on the adjustments to be made in the course delivery.
PNU President Bert Tuga instructed the deans, associate deans, and Institute Directors to monitor the adherence of faculty members to the memorandum.
Last week, the PNU University Student Council held a survey on the proposed mental health break. Most students voted for a five-day-break.
