PLM TO HAVE HOSPITAL BUILDING
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila will soon have a new hospital building.
Manila Mayor Francisco ‘Isko Moreno’ Domagoso vowed to provide a hospital building and better facilities for medicine students of the university.
“Kasalukuyang itinatayo ang sampung palapag, fully-airconditioned na bagong Ospital ng Maynila. I challenge you: kapag hindi naging itsurang Makati Med ‘yun, ipasasauli ko sa contractor ‘yung bayad natin,” the mayor said.
“Ang end game ko naman sa building noong lumang ospital, ire-retrofit natin siya para maging school siya ng College of Medicine. Luluwag kayo dito,” he added.
PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said that the building will become the PLM Allied Health Sciences Campus, which will also house classrooms and laboratories for the College of Nursing, College of Physical Therapy, and possibly the College of Science.
Leyco thanked the mayor for his support to the university.
“This is a welcome development for PLM. We are immensely grateful to Mayor Isko Moreno, the City of Manila, and its people for their unwavering support to our beloved Pamantasan,” Leyco said.
“Through this, we can further improve the quality of education and training which our medicine students can receive.”
