PLM PAYS TRIBUTE TO DR. ALFREDO GUZMAN
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila paid tribute to its professor who died on August 28 at the Research Institute for Tropical Medicine.
Dr. Alfredo R. Guzman, a professor at PLM since 1998, finished his medical degree at the Far Eastern University and then took his master’s degree in Business Administration-Top Executive Program in PLM.
“He generously shared his wisdom and knowledge to his students and the College of Medicine. He was admired for his unwavering commitment to educating future PLM doctors and serving the university,” PLM posted on Facebook.
In remembering Guzman, the PLM community said he inspired many to continue their schooling even if they find it difficult at times.
Foreign Affairs Secretary Teddy Locsin also offered his condolences to the bereaved family and the City of Manila, noting that it was a “deep loss.”
“Condolence to his family and to the City for the deep loss they have suffered,” Locsin said on Twitter.
The Manila-based school announced the doctor’s demise a day after breaking the news on social media about its former dean’s death due to complications brought by cancer.
