PLM MOURNS DEATH OF FORMER DEAN
THE PAMANTASAN ng Lungsod ng Maynila mourns the death of former Dean Dr. Erlinda A. Cayao.
“On behalf of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila I extend sincere condolences and prayers for the repose of the soul of Dr. Erlinda A. Cayao, whose legacy will continue to enhance our academic endeavors,” PLM President Emmanuel Leyco said.
Cayao was a PLM assistant professor and once served in various academic administrative posts that included designations as Acting Vice-President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the former College of Liberal Arts, and Officer-in-Charge of the Graduate School of Arts, Sciences and Education.
An accomplished researcher, Cayao presented her papers at various international conferences in Singapore, Thailand, and Cambodia.
She also published an international journal.
Cayao was innovative and devoted to teaching, a powerful plenary speaker, an effective trainer, and prolific co-author of textbooks at the tertiary level, PLM said.
“Godspeed, Dr. Cayao, and bring with you our prayers for a renewed life here on earth as you proceed with your new life beyond, with our Creator,” Leyco added.
