PRESIDENT Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has commended the pilot run of K to 10 curricula in 35 schools nationwide which was implemented by the Department of Education.
“We are decongesting the curriculum, with a focus on the development of foundational skills. I’m happy that the DepEd is piloting a new K to 10 curriculum in 35 schools across the region,” Marcos said.
Marcos was the guest of honor during the DepEd’s Basic Education Report 2024.
The K to 10 curriculum is pilot-tested in 35 schools across the Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Central Visayas, Central Mindanao, Cordillera Administrative Region National Capital Region, and Caraga.
The Chief Executive also extended his gratitude to Vice President and Education Secretary Sara Duterte-Carpio for supervising the DepEd, describing the agency as the “most difficult mandate.”
Marcos assured DepEd that his administration will continue to support all the agency’s endeavors.
