THE PANGASINAN State University distributed gifts to Persons Deprived of Liberty at the Pangasinan Provincial Jail to spread Christmas cheer.

PSU Open University System Director Dr. Phillip G. Queroda said that the university chose the jail for its extension project.

“This year PSU-OUS decided to give and share love and blessings to our PDLs who cannot be with their families this Christmas season but are always in the prayers of the community,” Queroda said.

A total of 270 inmates received goodie bags and hygiene kits.

Some of them also won prizes from the raffle draw like electric kettles, rice cookers, electric fans, pillows and grocery items, among others.

The university and the provincial jail earlier sealed a partnership program to provide prisoners mental wellness seminar at the height of the pandemic.
