NO CLASSES, WORK AT MAPUA ON MAY 10

/ 8 May 2022

THE MAPUA University suspended its classes for May 10, a day after the national elections.

In a statement, the school said the decision was done in consideration of students and employees who will exercise their rights to vote and volunteer.

“The school takes cognizance of the participation of our students and employees, as voters exercising their duty and right to vote, and as volunteers in polling places to assist in the conduct of orderly, fair, and honest elections,” the university said.

Earlier, University of Santo Tomas suspended its classes from May 9 to 10, while Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila declared May 10 to 11 as academic break.

PLM said the break would give students time to complete their academic requirements as some would be coming home from their respective provinces after casting their votes.

President Duterte declared May 9 as a special (non-working) holiday.
