NISU TAPS STUDENTS AS ENVIRONMENT AMBASSADORS
TO RAISE awareness on environmental issues and concerns, the Northern Iloilo State University tapped a number of its students to be Environment and Natural Resources ambassadors.
Under the “ENR Ambassador Project,” six students were tasked to highlight discourse about the environment.
They are Kimbot Borja from the College of Engineering, Melton Bermejo and Regen Andrade from the College of Education, Sandy Montibon from the College of Fisheries and Allied Science and Vice Patrick Vejo from the College of Industrial Technology.
“As ENR ambassadors, they will be the ones to lead the action to aid Environmental issues,” NISU said.
“[The project] is designed to teach students about environmental concerns that affect the school and community, such as pollution, resource degradation and climate change,” it added.
The university entered into a Memorandum of Partnership Agreement with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources for the project.
The signing of the MOPA was led by NISU President Dr. Bobby Gerardo and DENR officials Salvador Maglinong and Sara Rene Abordo.
