REPORTS about essays done by Artificial Intelligence that are being used for academic purposes dismayed netizens.

A professor from the University of the Philippines Diliman aired his consternation after finding out that his student used AI for an essay.

Francisco Jayme Guiang said that he discovered about the AI-produced essay because it was badly written.

He used an AI detector to scan the essay which confirmed his suspicion.

Guiang warned that he will fail students who use AI.

“Academic dishonesty is more possible and unrestrained in online courses than live classes. Face-to-face education is still the best mode of learning,” one netizen said.
