NETIZENS pressed for the speedy investigation of the alleged sexual harassment cases at the Philippine High School for the Arts.

The call was made after the victims came out for a video interview with Jessica Soho to narrate their experiences and trauma.

The students previously said in a report by Vice News Asia that the culture of abuse has been integrated at the school and a change is needed to spare students from the same trauma they experienced.

“Nakakalungkot, nakakainis; teachers are supposed to teach, uplift, and support their students but instead they do this beastly act to the weak and helpless students. I pray for these victims to heal, to recover, and move on,” one netizen said.

“Madaming ganito, mataas pa nga ang position sa school kaya hindi maalis. Madaming nabibiktima pero hindi makalaban dahil tinatakot or binabayaran,” another added.

The Department of Education has tapped government agencies to investigate the matter but has yet to publish an update on its investigation.
