MSU-IIT PARTNERS WITH OPEN UNIVERSITY MALAYSIA
THE MINDANAO State University-Iligan Institute of Technology and the Open University Malaysia inked a Memorandum of Understanding recently for the creation of an inclusive and equitable learning environment.
The partnership also aims to implement several academic and research initiatives and to improve the material, physical and intellectual development of students, faculty and staff in both institutions.
MSU-IIT Chancellor Alizedney Dituculan said that her institution believes in OUM’s expertise as a leading online distance learning institution to enhance the school’s online learning environment.
Aside from formalizing the partnership, Dituculan and Director of the Center for Pedagogical Innovations Professor Cenie Malabanan attended the BUKA Project meeting where they discussed key agendas such as evaluating pilot projects, reviewing the project handbook, planning a conference in Penang and project extension.
The chancellor also visited the Nanotechnology and Catalysis Research Center at the University of Malaya as MSU-IIT plans to develop a research degree in nanotechnology.
“These international activities reflect MSU-IIT’s commitment to strengthening its research capabilities and developing partnerships with other universities in the Asean region,” the university said.
