MINDANAO STATE U MARAWI MOVES CLASS OPENING TO OCTOBER 5
THE START of classes at the Mindanao State University Marawi was moved to October 5, 2020.
Classes in the university were scheduled to start on September 14 but the administration decided to delay it because of the increasing number of Covid19 cases in the province.
“In view of the increase in the number of Covid19 cases in Lanao del Sur and Iligan City, and in line with the MSU’s giving of importance to human lives and the safety and well-being of the university’s constituents, the official opening of classes for the First Semester, Academic Year 2020-2021 is moved from September 14 to October 5, 2020,” the school announced in a Facebook post.
“The MSU Administration further reminds its constituents to observe health and hygiene protocols and follow the provisions of the Modified Enhanced Quarantine enforced by the Provincial Government of Lanao del Sur and the City of Marawi,” it added.
Lanao del Sur and Marawi City reverted to MECQ from modified general community quarantine on September 7 until September 30, 2020. As of September 12, the province had 413 virus cases, 65 of which were active.
