MAPUA U INKS PACT WITH TAIWANESE SCHOOL
THE MAPUA University has signed a memorandum of agreement with the National Chung Hsing University of Taiwan for a joint conduct of the International Conference on Sustainable Environmental Technologies in the year 2025.
The MOA was signed by the President of National Chung Hsing University Professor Dr. Fuh-Jyh Jan and the President of Mapua Dr. Dodjie Maestrecampo.
The agreement was signed when several officials of Mapua visited Taiwan last month.
“The purpose of the visit was to explore potential collaboration areas and deepen interaction between the two institutions, aiming for a fraternal partnership in the future,” the school said.
“President Jan, on behalf of NCHU, warmly welcomed Mapua University’s delegation, expressing hope for continued opportunities for exchange and collaboration,” it added.
The Mapua delegates also met with Dean Chieh-Chen Huang of the College of Life Sciences to explore future collaboration.
They also toured the NCHU Museum of Natural History and relevant facilities.
Subsequently, the delegation visited the Department of Chemical Engineering, discussing potential joint initiatives like research projects, faculty exchanges, and dual-degree programs with Prof. Rong-Ho Lee and other faculty members.
“This visit showcased the proactive collaborative spirit of both universities in education, with the potential to foster cultural and academic exchanges, opening new chapters for future cooperation between National Chung Hsing University and Mapúa University,” the school said.
