MAPUA: PROFESSORS CANNOT OBLIGE STUDENTS TO PASS REQUIREMENTS ON HOLY WEEK
MAPUA University said that professors cannot oblige students to pass requirements during the Holy Week.
However, the university said professors can schedule synchronous and asynchronous classes from March 29 to March 31.
It explained that professors were allowed to hold classes from March 29 to 31 so as not to affect the school calendar.
The enrollment and opening of classes for the next term will also be affected if classes will be suspended on the mentioned dates, Mapua added.
The Mapua University Student Government sympathized with the students’ eagerness in observing Holy Week. However, requests for an extension of the suspension of classes have been denied.
“We hope that the student body will have a meaningful Holy Week regardless of the situation,” Mapua SG said.
