MALABON Mayor Jennie Sandoval prodded the City of Malabon University to resolve the problem concerning the delayed salaries of teachers.

“I take this issue seriously and demand that a thorough investigation be undertaken to ensure that the situation will be rectified,” Sandoval said.

Reports said that the salaries of teachers have been delayed for three months.

The city administrator directed the university’s Human Resources office to explain the issue within 72 hours.

CMU Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Glen de Leon said that the matter had to be elevated to city hall for it to be resolved faster.

He added that the delay in the payment of wages is tough on teachers who also have to cope with the rising prices of goods.
