/ 5 October 2020

THE LYCEUM of the Philippines University-Manila reminded its students to update their internet browsers to ensure that it is secured and working properly.

The university said that an up-to-date browser can fix security problems and makes browsing safer against malicious hackers.

Updating browsers can also maintain compatibility with different websites.

The school directed its reminder to students using mobile phones.

“It is our utmost desire to protect you from security problems and technical issues while browsing or using the internet.  Keeping your Internet browser up-to-date is important for both security and ensuring that web pages load properly,” the school said on Facebook.

It also reminded students to ensure that their gadgets pass the minimum system requirements for distance learning.

Classes in the university started on September 14, 2020. The school is using its flexible learning scheme called Learning Experience through Alternative Delivery Systems.
