IFUGAO STATE U TRAINS FARMERS ON ORGANIC PRODUCTION
THE IFUGAO State University trained 25 Ifugao farmers in organic agriculture.
Through the help of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, the farmers completed a 29-day training on producing organic farm products like fertilizers, concotions, extracts, among others.
The program is under IFSU’s Organic Agriculture Production and Tulong Trabaho Scholarship program.
The farmers received a national certificate level 2 after completing the training.
Aside from the training proper, farmers also received P160 daily allowance, school uniforms, identification cards and internet allowances.
The OAP program which started in 2017 have produced hundreds of graduates and will continue to accomodate more local farmers in nearby communities, IFSU said.
