/ 20 March 2021

STUDENTS from the Institute of Tourism and Hotel Management of the Far Eastern University dominated two categories in the Amity Youth Fest 2021.

“The HRM students joined two events. The AmiChef (University Level) is a competition where participants showcase their innovative use of cooking styles, methods, and ingredients, while the Star of the Bar is an online cocktail recipe making competition,” FEU said in a statement.

In AmiChef, 3rd-year student Frangelico Adam Lopez won the silver medal, while freshman Sophia Bernardo bagged the bronze. They were mentored by Chef Racky Masa and Chef John Lester Tuason, respectively.

On the other hand, Joaquin Lorenzo Bersamin won first place, Jun Deyna Dimaculangan ranked second, and Richard Brylle Quitlong finished fourth in the Star of the Bar competition. All of them were trained by Dr. Anna Pamela.

The other students who made it to the final round were Rishven Angel Peralta coached by Chef Aleli Jihan Aseremo, and James Ryan Sibala and Joshua Adrian Esclarino with Chef Richard Tabuena as their adviser.

This year’s competition was held online on March 11 to 14, 2021.

Amity Youth Fest is an annual event organized by Amity University’s School of Hospitality, one of the top hotel schools in India.
