DR. RENANTE Egcas was sworn in as the 5th president of the Northern Negros State College of Science and Technology last Friday, July 15.

Egcas was elected as Nonescot president in July 2020. However, his induction was delayed by the Covid19 pandemic.

Despite being the “pandemic president” of the school, Egcas said he continued to champion education in Northern Negros.

He expressed optimism that under his term, the university will reach new heights.

Local officials witnessed Egcas’ investiture, including Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Sagay City Mayor Narciso Javelosa, Jr. and Vice Mayor Leo Rafael M. Cueva.
