CHED GIVES GO SIGNAL FOR CEU-MAKATI’S LIMITED F2F CLASSES
THE COMMISSION on Higher Education allowed Centro Escolar University-Makati campus to conduct limited face-to-face classes and clinical internship in the first semester of Academic Year 2021-2022.
CEU-Makati received a Certificate of Authority from CHED for complying with the guidelines and health protocols to resume physical classes for its BS Nursing, BS Medical Technology, and Dental of Medicine programs.
Officials of the commission, along with representatives of the Department of Health and the city government of Makati, inspected the retrofitted classrooms in the university.
“Our application for limited face-to-face classes and internship for CEU Makati Gil Puyat has been approved by the Commission on Higher Education, effective until the 2nd semester of AY 2021-2022. The Certificates of Authority were signed by Dr. Virginia D. Akiate, CESO III, CHED Director IV,” it said.
Last month, the BS Nursing and BS Medical Technology of CEU-Manila have also been allowed to resume in-person classes.
CEU President Ma. Cristina Padolina earlier said the school first consulted students and their parents if they approve of attending in-person classes.
“Talagang inuna nating kausapin ang mga magulang at mga estudyante para malinaw sa kanila kung ano ang kanilang gagawin. At nag-issue rin kami ng certificate para sa mga estudyante para sila ay makakuh ng bakuna sa kanilang mga respective LGUs,” Padolina said.
Several higher education institutions have also been allowed to hold face-to-face classes for health-related degree programs.
