CENTRAL LUZON STATE U UNVEILS ANIMAL DISEASES CENTER
THE CENTRAL Luzon State University and the Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Animal Industry unveiled the university’s Center for Transboundary Animal Disease on Saturday, June 11, 2022.
The inaguration ceremony held in CLSU’s main campus in Munoz was attended by Agriculture Secretary Willian Dar, officials from the university, and local government officials.
The CenTrad will be the lead agency for risk analysis, investigation, diagnosis, mapping, and emergency management of Transboundary Animal diseases in the Philippines.
CLSU President Edgar A. Orden said that once operational, the facility will help the community by identifying and controlling animal diseases.
The university will tap the center in the conduct of different studies and projects on animal disease, development of Masti-Check, Andali Test kit and Nanogold biosensor test kit to control diseases.
The P200 million project will be spearheaded by College of Veterinary Science and Medicine Dean Dr. Virginia Venturina.
