THE CEBU provincial government has started its preparations for the possible holding of face-to-face classes in the coming school year.

Part of the preparations include the procurement of books for two subjects —  good manners and right conduct and social studies.

These books will be used by students in Grades 1 and 2 and those in Grades 11 and 12.

Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia created a technical working group that will check the books and ensure their quality.

The TWG will make sure that the books are not overpriced and they fit the curriculum.

The provincial government also plans to acquire English version of books to make students fluent in the English language. Garcia said she wants English as the language of instruction in Cebu schools.
