CAVITE STATE U RECEIVES PH QUALITY AWARD FOR QUALITY MANAGEMENT MASTERY
THE Cavite State University has been honored with the Philippine Quality Award Recognition for Mastery in Quality Management (Level III).
The award is proof that the institution “demonstrated, through its practices and achievements, superior results clearly linked to robust management systems.”
CvSU President Dr. Hernando D. Robles, along with Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro and Vice President for Planning and Development Dr. Almira G. Magcawas, accepted the award at the 26th PQA Conferment Ceremony held at Malacañang Palace in Manila on July 17.
The award was presented by Executive Secretary Lucas P. Bersamin, Department of Trade and Industry Secretary Alfredo E. Pascual, PQA Board of Judges Chair Ruy Y. Moreno, and Development Academy of the Philippines Vice President Arnel D. Abanto.
Other CvSU officials present included Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, Prof. John Xavier B. Nepomuceno, Dr. Pia Rhoda P. Lucero, Engr. Orlando B. Delos Reyes, and Adora Joy T. Plete.
The PQA is the country’s highest recognition “for exemplary performance in quality management, equivalent to the Baldrige Performance Excellence Program in the United States.”
This year, 14 organizations from various sectors were recognized.
Earlier, CvSU earned spots in the 2023 World University Rankings for Innovation, Times Higher Education Impact Rankings. It also received the Quacquarelli Symonds Stars Award in March 2023.
