AN official of the Cavite State University has completed the Training on Internal Quality Assurance in Southeast Asia.

Dr. Cristina Signo was among the 30 participants from ASEAN universities who qualified in the TrainIQA ASEAN-Quality Assurance.

TrainIQA is a capacity building project of the German Academic Exchange Service/Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst, the German Reactors’ Conference and the University of Potsdam.

TrainIQA aims to strengthen higher education management structures in developing countries. It also provides a venue for participants to improve their capacities in the field of QA, and promotes knowledge-sharing and lesson-learning among member HEIs and various stakeholders.

QA officers implemented QA projects and completed a workshop in Potsdam, Germany since December 2022.

The final workshop of the ASEAN-QA program took place in Hanoi, Vietnam earlier this month. It gathered participants including trainees, university leaders and project partners for discussions on QA trends, challenges, AI in education and curriculum development.

Other partner institutions are the ASEAN Quality Assurance Network, the ASEAN University Network and the Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Centre for Higher Education and Development.
