CAPSU RECEIVES P25-M GRANT FOR SMART CAMPUS PROJECT
THE CAPIZ State University has received funding from the Commission on Higher Education for the implementation of its Smart Campus project.
CAPSU on Tuesday said that almost P25 million will be given to transform the school into an e-university.
The funding will be used to invest in ICT Infrastructure, acquiring learning management systems, among others.
The project will be implemented on the university’s nine campuses.
“More so, this will develop a technology-driven learning environment that may provide platforms for operational efficiency, upgrading of personnel competencies, and developing student skills and abilities for holistic development despite the challenges brought by the pandemic,” CAPSU said on Facebook.
“This project also covers Cloud and Zoom Subscriptions, as well as the installation and configuration of server and storage utilizing the Hyper-Converge Infrastructure to facilitate the technical management and operation of CAPSU Smart Campus. An increased bandwidth connected to the server foresees stability in connection, especially in campuses and satellite colleges with poor connectivity,” it added.
