CAGAYAN STATE U MOVES OPENING OF CLASSES
THE CAGAYAN State University has moved the opening of classes from August 23 to September 6 because of tight quarantine measures in Tuguegarao City.
“Due to the declaration of ECQ in Tuguegarao effective August 12, 2021 and in response to queries on possible adjustment of our academic calendar, we shall be moving the start of School Year 2021-2022 to September 6, 2021,” the vice president for Academic Affairs said in a memorandum.
Campus executive officers were advised to make necessary adjustments on the schedule of faculty members.
Meanwhile, Fr. Ranhilio Aquino, VP for Administration and Finance, suspended the physical enrollment of students.
“Deans are under instruction to accept scanned or even pictured credentials for now. The portals or email addresses have been provided you. Everything is to be done online during this trying period,” Aquino said.
Tuguegarao City was placed under enhanced community quarantine from August 12 to August 21 to curb the steep rise in Covid19 cases.
As of Wednesday, there were 759 active infections from 500 a week ago.
