BICOL UNIVERSITY DECLARES BREAK
THE BICOL University suspended the conduct of classes because of the recent spike of Covid19 cases in the country.
The Office of the President issued memorandum No. 16 series of 2022 declaring the suspension of classes effective January 17 until further notice.
BU made the decision after local government units in Bicol ordered a break and after Albay was placed under Alert Level 3.
On-site research in all BU libraries were also suspended.
Earlier, the university also announced the suspension of in-person entrance exam due to “health exigencies that are beyond anyone’s control.”
Offices, meanwhile, will remain fully operational but will be under a 60 percent on-site workforce.
Students welcomed the announcement, noting the understanding of the university to the situation they are in.
