THE PRESIDENT of the Bicol University, Dr. Arnulfo Mascarinas, urged the public to get vaccinated against Covid19 to boost protection for the community.

In his video message in line with the celebration of World Immunization Week 2022, Mascarinas said that BU supports all immunization initiatives.

“Don’t let your fear drive away your chance to fight Covid19. Let’s collectively push for [a] Covid-free world,” he said.

“Get that shot. Be immunized. Support our medical frontliners. Protect yourself… vaccines work for all,” he added.

The Department of Health on Monday started giving second booster shots to immunocompromised individuals in a bid to offer more protection against the virus.

The department said that the rollout of second booster shots will be expanded to cover areas outside Metro Manila.
