/ 20 December 2022

THE BATANES State College warned the public against individuals asking for money on behalf of the university.

BSC said that it has received information about individuals posing as BSC President Dr. Djovi Regala Durante or other officials asking for money to help assist student athletes and artists and faculty members.

The college said that the individuals are taking advantage of the holiday season as they know that people are more giving during the holidays.

It said that BSC officials and employees are not allowed to solicit money in accordance with the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.

It also asked the public to report such cases to the BSC Office of the President through 09395349238.

“The BSC notes that government officials and employees are not allowed to solicit money…with these occurrences, we encourage everyone to report any form of communication from these individuals,” it said.
