ART IN COFFEE
A GRADE 10 student from Zamboanga del Norte National High School made a splash on social media for her coffee artwork.
Her artwork made with coffee circulated on social media.
Quitalyn Marcojos said her artwork was a “stress reliever” but it also earned her money.
“I usually see a lot of artists posting their artworks that have different techniques and styles on various social media platforms and then I encountered some individuals using coffee,” she said in an interview with The POST.
Marcojos also used plates as her canvas to add more “creativity.”
“I was inspired by them and that’s why it made me come up with an idea of using it. But instead of using paper (as I have normally seen from other artists), I use plates in creating my artwork to give more creativity to it,” she said.
She admitted that it was difficult to do art and study at the same time.
“It was a pretty challenging thing for me to juggle classes and making art. I usually create artworks after I finish my modules so that there will be no conflict when it comes to managing my time,” she shared.
Now she accepts “commissions from people.”
Marcojos said she will continue doing her art because it helps her destress.
