SEVEN topnotchers in the recently concluded Custom Brokers Licensure Examination from the University of Cebu received P1 million reward from the school administration.

UC said on Wednesday that the cash reward is for “producing the biggest number of topnotchers and achievers.”

The graduates from UC bagged the 1st, 2nd, 5th, 7th, a tie for the 8th, and 9th place.

They are Jo Justin L. Ochea, Genemae Caliwan, Dan Mark Ygot, Nelson Ciano, Jr., Gladys Jean Cuyos, Michael Glinogo, and Jerome Torrejos Augusto, respectively.

UC President Acugusto W. Go personally met the graduates, along with the deans and faculty of the college of customs for a turn-over ceremony at the Office of the President on Monday.

The P1 million was divided among the graduates, the deans, and the teachers.

The biggest chunk — P500,000 — went to Ochea.
