The Samar State University is asking for donations to help raise funds for solar radios.

SSU on Thursday said that as little as P5 can help purchase solar radios to help students in elementary school with their education.

It said that the recipient of the projects will be selected students located in Catbalogan City, Samar.

“These solar radios will help our learners better grasp their lessons by listening to lectures and will work as a supplement to modules,” SSU said on Facebook.

“This service initiative will be of big help to the students especially those that have internet connectivity issues. Moreover, solar radios were chosen in anticipation of future power interruptions,” it added.

Other means of donations will also be accepted and can be coordinated to SSU via 09456788503.
